Ongoing training to work in depth
Drawing from a method inspired by the great masters of realistic acting, ongoing scene work allows you to develop detail and precision in your craft — whether your focus is for the camera or for the theatre.
The scenes are drawn from major playwrights, to benefit from the depth of their dramatic stakes and dialogue.
Exercises will be personalized, targeted, and timely — so your progress is shaped by your own goals and challenges.

Classes in a professional studio
Classes are held in Studio 407 at 5445 De Gaspé, where you can take advantage of the lighting, set design, and working atmosphere of an intimate theatre.
Classes take place Wednesday evenings at 6 PM, throughout the entire month.
Reserving your spot (once payment is received) commits you for the following month.
The class is bilingual — you may work in French or in English, according to your preference.

A group setting to learn by watching
Half of the learning happens by observing others work.
The duration of each class varies depending on the number of participants. Registration is capped at 8 people per month — that's 4 pairs of 2, with 1 hour of stage time per pair.
First come, first served!
Pairings will be arranged in advance for the following month, so you have time to read your scene and prepare.

FAQ
Group Acting Class

How does a session unfold?
We will have determined together a scene for you to work on, whether in a pair (dialogue scene) or alone (a monologue).
For scene selection, I'll have suggestions to offer you.
However, ideally you would come to me yourself with a scene proposal to work on. Especially after you've been working for a few months.
This scene forms the basis on which the work will be done.
The goal is to focus on your areas for improvement, which you will have expressed in the first session, and supplemented by what I observe while watching you work.
It's possible that additional exercises will be done from time to time to help you work on a specific aspect of your acting. These exercises may or may not be related to your scene.
If your partner is absent for a class, this is an opportunity to practice through exercises. I'll offer you a range of exercises to help you progress.
I recommend knowing your lines as early as possible so you don't feel stuck in your progress, especially if you have a short-term goal in mind.

Does this course have a progression?
It's an ongoing course. It means that the course runs in 4-session blocks, but has no predetermined end.
Your goals are discussed and set during the course.
The progression is you relative to yourself. We will have identified your main obstacles and the most important things to work on. Through the scenes and exercises, you will feel a gradual progression on your own.
You can then test your progress by performing in front of an audience through the Showcase Workshop, available periodically.
Please note that every 4 weeks your partner may change (and therefore your scene as well), depending on who registered for class.
It's entirely possible to commit to working with a partner over the medium term in order to work on just one scene or one character for several months, allowing you to go deeper in your learning.

I have no acting experience. Is this course also for beginners?
Absolutely! We'll work according to your goals and your abilities.
This acting course is personalized and adaptable. Pairings will be designed to support each person's learning.
-
Is the course bilingual?
Yes! The course is available in French and English.
I'll work in your preferred language, and scenes will be chosen based on your language preferences.
-
I'm not sure I want group classes, do you offer private coaching?
Absolutely! I invite you to check out my private coaching by following this link. Feel free to reach out with any questions!
I offer a private coaching package, as well as coaching specialized in audition preparation for theatre schools.
Refund policy:
The course is fully refundable up until the first day of class. After that, an amount will be retained corresponding to each completed session + 10% or $50 (whichever is less) as a cancellation fee.
Please note that if you miss a session, a credit toward a future class the following month is not possible.
